“I recently upgraded my backyard to include an in-ground pool, spa, patio and landscaping. It already had a deck and fence. I interviewed a number of companies before selecting the Burpee Group LLC. From the start I was very pleased with Bob as he recognized that this was a huge purchase for both my wife and I and he sat with us for honestly probably over 8 hours over a number of occasions as we fantasized about our backyard and finally decided how we wanted to move forward. The reason I mention this is that all of the large commercial companies I met with made me feel uncomfortable for keeping them for so long. Additionally, when Bob met with us he was very adamant about building a 'custom' pool. I really believed him because compared to all of the other companies we spoke with he provided the most options and was most comfortable talking about outside the box ideas. Most of the other companies were very cookie cutter and limited in what they could offer. And believe me the pool is Absolutely Custom and a Full Blown Knockout!! Bob's crew did a fantastic job and Bob was very easy to work with during the project itself, even happily making adjustments as often occurs with projects as you work through them. Another things that really impressed me with Bob was that although his crew did the majority of the work he actually spent an entire day or two setting up all of the functional aspects of the pool (filter, heater, spa jets, etc..). I really found this interesting because when I asked him about it he described that it is really the only part of the pool build where mistakes can occur so to have him care enough to do this himself I was very impressed. Additionally, when speaking with other companies most of the work was contracted out. Bob has all of his own guys do the work so this makes it much easier for the project to be managed in a well organized fashion. Another thing that was very impressive is that Bob really seems to get most of his business off of referrals so he really does care that your pool is amazing and that it works properly because he wants to be able to send potential customers to your backyard or to show off his work on his website. So he actually has skin in the game. Its not like he just puts the pool in and you never hear from him again. The last thing I will stress is that the pool itself is absolutely amazing and I can honestly say that based on my experiences if I had gone with another company I honestly do not think it would have been as great!! Bob not only changed my backyard but he changed my families life in doing so. We are extremely happy customers and I would highly recommend Bob if your looking to install a custom pool in your backyard.” — F.B.
