Starting with What's Already There
See the outline of the garden areas where the paver bricks are? You can tell that someone, at some point, was starting to put some thought into how to utilize this backyard space. But there's really not much else here. Blank slates are our favorite opportunities for building backyards that only exist in our clients' dreams, until we make them a reality. Keep scrolling to see how this project turned out.
Groundwork
An existing paver patio can be left where it is and fulfill a whole new purpose when it gets tied into our design.
More Groundwork
The existing paver walkway can also be incorporated into our design and given a new life. Hey, if it's not broken, why fix it?
All Decked Out
The existing deck, while functional, needed a bit of an update. Keep scrolling to see how we refreshed it.
Imagine, If You Will...
...a beautiful in-ground pool and fresh, new landscaping in place of this drab and overgrown backyard.
Ta Da!
Just a short while later, the entire backyard is transformed! Notice the cobblestone pathway leading from the pool deck to the existing pavers, and the updated landscaping and lush lawn.
Pathway to Somewhere
That same paver pathway you saw before leading from the front to the back of the house has a whole new purpose now that its destination is this sparkling blue pool!
Plenty of Room
Doesn't the pool and surrounding pool deck make the yard actually look larger than it did in those drab, messy before photos? We even had room to add a little pool building to complete the project.
Icing on the Cake
We had room to add a fire pit off to the right, too. These clients definitely got more than they thought was possible!
A Whole Lot Cleaner
Compared to the before pictures, where you couldn't tell where one yard ended and another began, this looks a whole lot more defined (and inviting), doesn't it?
Tying It All Together
This project is the perfect example of how you don't always need to tear away everything that's already there. Sometimes you can just spruce up what's already there and build it into the new design to give it new life.
Room With a View
This second-story view is undoubtedly much nicer than what the clients were used to seeing before. With updated landscaping, a fresh lawn, a beautiful new pool and surround, and a fire pit, home is now a place to be enjoyed!
